Nespresso Lattissima Coffee Maker Review
The Lattissima takes Nespresso's one-touch brewing to the next level. It can make lungo and espresso in under an hour, and can accept an array of capsules from the company.
The machine can also be programmed to make the exact amount of drinks you require. This is a fantastic feature for busy families.
Simple to use
This black Nespresso machine is simple in appearance, is easy to maintain and use. It features a minimalist, simple design with just one button at the top that controls powering, rinsing, the brewing process and much more. You simply remove the lid, place in the capsule and click to start brewing. It is quick to heat up and provides a range of drink options, including a double espresso as well as 5-, 8- or 18-ounce coffees. It even comes with a steaming wand, perfect for making a delicious milk texture for your drinks. While we love its simple interface and compact size, we found that the machine didn't perform better than higher-end models when it comes to brewing rich-tasting espresso and coffee. It's also not as easy to recycle the capsules like some other machines we've tested. This Nespresso wasn't the top pick in our side-byside test for these reasons.
Quick to brew
The Nespresso machine can brew a cup of espresso in 15 seconds. The hot water from the reservoir flows through a pump before it pierces small holes at the top of the coffee pod. The water is then mixed with the ground coffee, and drips into the cup. www.coffeee.uk created an intense, delicious espresso with a hint of bite when we tested it using Jones Brothers and Bestpresso coffee capsules. We also tested whole, almond milk, and 2% and found that all performed very well.
Easy to clean
Cleaning the Nespresso machine is essential both inside and out. This helps to keep it functioning properly and ensures that it's safe to use. It also enhances the flavor of your coffee. You can clean your Nespresso using a variety of cleaners, including vinegar. It is however recommended to make use of a descaling solution instead, as vinegar could be harmful to your machine.

To clean your Nespresso, start by getting rid of all the pods, and washing the drip tray and capsule container. Fill a sink with warm water, and add a few drops dish soap. Let the drip tray and container soak in the soapy water for some time to remove gunk and stains. Rinse them off with hot water, and then use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth to scrub off any residues or stains. After scrubbing, rinse the drip tray and capsule container and let them dry completely before returning them to the machine.
When your machine is clean then it's time to descale it. Follow the steps in your manual for a specific procedure. You can also design your own DIY descaling solution by using white vinegar or citric acid. If you're using vinegar, ensure that it's white vinegar, not apple or balsamic, as they are too aggressive.
